From our December Nature in your Neighborhood project, Lindsey teaches us all about a native tree, California buckeye! Lindsey is a staff member at Sequoia Riverlands Trust. We are so excited for her to share her knowledge on one of our favorite native trees.

Through our new virtual programming series, Nature in your Neighborhood, we challenged volunteers to go out into their neighborhoods or backyards to see what plants sparked their interest. Whether plants are native or non native, we can all appreciate a connection to nature and the curiosity that it can spark! Jing has had some success growing large leaf sorrel in her backyard. Learn about this edible plant and how it can be used.
