Bird Walk on Mount Sutro
Time & Location
About the Event
This bird walk is co-listed with Golden Gate Audubon Society. We’ll walk about two miles, with significant climbing on mostly well-graded trails with some rocky spots and exposed roots. We’ll look and listen for birds, expecting mostly resident birds; summer breeders have mostly fledged, but juveniles are likely to be present, sometimes with confusing plumage and songs. Heavy fog and/or especially strong wind cancels. The walk is free but advance registration is required. The exact meeting location and directions will be provided to registered participants. Registration will open on July 10 and close at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 22. If you try to sign up before July 10, you’ll get a message that registration is closed.
