Getting in Nature

Joining a program as a community group:

Our Health in Nature programs are full until June of 2023. We are currently seeking to host groups for the fall of 2023! We welcome any questions, interest, and enthusiasm. If we can make space for your group we will. If you want to join us please contact bridget@sutrostewards.org.

Joining a program as a health care practitioner or healing arts professional:

We would love to collaborate with a physician or student physician in a Parks RX program. If you work, teach, or are a student of UCSF, SF General, or are a physician from any other hospital in San Francisco, we would love to hear from you.

Joining a program as a healing arts, mindfulness or expressive arts professional:

Come collaborate with us by supporting our existing programs as a paid program facilitator. We are actively seeking medicinal plant practitioners, dancers, traditional healers, artists, meditation teachers, somatic wellness practitioners, and other service providers to join us on the mountain for an initial consultation walk before joining an existing program. Those that can provide culturally relevant services are of particular interest to the groups we serve.

Please contact bridget@sutrostewards.org for more information.

Many Ways to Engage

There are so many other ways you can be a part of this work. We are still building our Health in Nature community. Please contact our program manager, Bridget Llanes, if…

  1. You are passionate about serving underserved communities with quality healing programming such as movement workshops, yoga, somatic practices, native plant medicine making, insect and animal knowledge on Mt. Sutro, etc. We have small stipends available to support workshop leaders.

  2. You are a Medical Care practitioner (nurse, dr. community health care worker) and are interested in connecting our resources to your patients as a part of a Nature RX/ Prescription RX program.

  3. You are a researcher and want to collaborate your work with our Health in Nature program

  4. You are available to attend working groups every other month to help shape our programs as a member of our Community Advisory Board.

We would love to connect with you out on Mt. Sutro sometime soon! Please send an email to
