About the event
Get more involved with the Sutro Stewards trails program and attend our Crew Leader Training Program. We instruct on the skills to lead volunteer work crews safely, productively, and inclusively.
Our training spans two days: 1) a virtual evening event (10/25) covering the roles of a crew leader, how work days operate, and expectations of our crew leaders, and 2) a full-day in-person event on Mt. Sutro (10/28) covering how we think about trails and their design, the basics of tool instruction, how to work around and with habitat, and evaluating ever-changing trail projects.
It is necessary to attend both events to ensure all trainees are on the same footing moving forward. This training is intended to be the jumping off point for additional mentored learning and leadership, with opportunities to continue building the leadership and technical skills necessary to be an effective crew leader.
For questions about the course, please contact danb@sutrostewards.org.
**Registration for this event automatically enrolls you in both 10/25 and 10/28 events, please let us know if you are only able to attend one session**
