Healthy Ecosystems Workshop on Mount Sutro

• While we as humans can easily perceive the passage of seasons, viewing the changes in an environment over decades or lifespans can be more challenging. What we perceive as a regular part of a landscape can actually be harmful or detrimental to ecosystems if we cannot see beyond our regular perceptions of time.
• Join the Sutro Stewards interns V and Kim for a cup of herbal tea before going on a hike and tour of Mt. Sutro, exploring the concepts of what makes for healthy ecosystems and the value of nature.
• During this event, learn about plant identification and medicinal uses of plants.
• The day will end with creating your own low-impact flower arrangement.

NOTE

• A small lunch will be provided!
• Please bring your own water bottles as well as any other snacks you would enjoy for yourself!
• We suggest sunscreen and/or a hat, sunglasses, as well as closed-toed shoes for this event.
