Rotary Service Day on Mount Sutro (Rotary Club Sign Up Only)

Join us on Mount Sutro for activities in trail maintenance or invasive species removal. Help us work towards our mission of building community, connecting people with nature, and protecting and enhancing Mount Sutro, one of the city’s wildest and most beautiful green spaces.

Wear clothes that can get dirty! Long pants and long-sleeved shirts to protect your legs and arms while working and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Some work areas may have poison oak and arriving in appropriate clothing limits exposure risk. If you have a known sensitivity, please alert a crew leader prior to starting work.

After program, we welcome you to join us for pizza and refreshments starting around 12:15pm.

We will meet in the Woods Lot located at 100 Medical Center Way. Parking is available in the Woods Lot parking lot only. Please note that Medical Center Way from Parnassus Ave will be closed, instead use Clarendon Ave and turn onto Johnstone Dr to reach Medical Center Way.

Minors over the age of 12 with parent/guardian supervision are allowed. Must be 15 years old to participate in trail work. If you have any specific questions around minors, please email us!

Once you RSVP, we will be reaching out to you with a more in depth info packet and two participation waivers. Minors must have a parent or guardian sign their waivers. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out waivers onsite if needed.

8:45am-9:00am: Arrival and sign in

9:00am-9:15am: Orientation and splitting into work groups

9:15am-12:00pm: Work on selected projects

12:00pm-12:15pm: Clean up

12:15pm-1:00pm: Optional lunch
