Since June of 2022, Sutro Stewards has been hard at work clearing the creekbed of overgrown invasive brambles to uncover one of just a few above ground creeks left in San Francisco. We've also been working with landowners, (UCSF, SFRPD and private residents) neighbors and community stakeholders to create a long term plan and galvanize resources to restore the health and biodiversity of this seasonal creek. On Thursday, October 26th, 5:30 - 7:30, join us for hors d'oeuvres and refreshments at a community open house for the Cole Valley neighborhood, as we unveil our vision for a restored Woodland Canyon Creek. This work comes out of a collaborative process between landowners, local nature nonprofits, government agencies and community members. We are thrilled to share it with Cole Valley neighbors who have long been lovers of Mount Sutro, and to invite you to engage with this exciting community effort!
