Goats are currently munching away on Mount Sutro. They are on the South Ridge Trail this week (week of Jan 14), and will be near the Woods and Surge parking lots next month.
UCSF will also begin implementation of the long-term Vegetation Management Plan that was completed and approved last year. Work for the plan and other fire hazard mitigation will take place around the East Ridge Trail, Clarendon and Farnsworth Trails, and Woodland Canyon. All tree work for the season is to be complete by the end of February. Expect occasional trail closures Jan-Feb.
