San Francisco's "Best City Hike" is Mount Sutro

As the Sutro Stewards celebrate our 10th year of stewardship this September, the Mount Sutro Open Space Reserve has again been awarded the "Best City Hike" by San Francisco Magazine! This marks our second consecutive year to have received recognition for the City’s finest trail system. This takes place while we continue progress on the new Clarendon Trail in anticipation of this new connector trail becoming San Francisco’s next official segment of the Bay Area Ridge Trail by 2017.

We cannot accept this recognition without acknowledging the thousands of volunteers who have dedicated their time to our program over the last decade. Without the support of all of our volunteers, crew leaders, donors, sponsors, and advocates who have and continue to contribute to this fantastic trail system, realizing our vision would not be possible.

Please visit our Event Listings and join our team during a Saturday Trail Stewardship event. The work is physical and rewarding, and you will be able to take credit for supporting the best trails in San Francisco.
